FAQ

What is an “adult prom”?

Exactly as it sounds, this is prom for adults. All the essence of the proms you remember from high school, but without the adolescent anxiety and where adding vodka to the punch bowl will be encouraged.

Does that mean I have to dress up?

Obvi! Dust off that tux you haven’t worn since high school and start shopping for that perfect dress! If you need a direction, think “90’s prom” as the theme, but any formal attire is highly encouraged. There will even be a prom king and queen chosen at the end of the night, so make sure you dress to impress!

Where can I park?

While Biki, bus, taxi, or rideshare app is highly recommended, we understand some people just have to drive. Parking is available on-site at the Pagoda lot off of Rycroft Street. There are paid stalls there or you can street park too. It has been HIGHLY recommended NOT to park at Ross during night hours, so try not to park there anymore.

Of course, if you want the full throwback experience, grab a group of friends and book a limo for the night or make it a staycation!

Should I eat before?

Light pupu and snacks will be available throughout the night, so make sure you take your date out for a nice dinner beforehand. There are plenty of good dinner spots nearby, including Sorabol right next door!

Does Adult Prom mean that it’s for adults only?

Yes, 21+ only please. Find a babysitter and let them know you’ll be home late!

Where is your Amazon wishlist?

Since I already have my health, family, and a sweet Ford Ranger, I’m requesting no gifts. Instead, please donate $20 to your favorite charity or help support the Hawaiian Humane Society as a part of my 2024 Commissions for Change Campaign.
